Wastenot Compost Giveback program
Creating healthier soils for the communities we serve.
Where does our compost go?
Back to our local soils!
-

Member Giveback
At select times each year, eligible WasteNot members have the opportunity to receive a bag of free finished compost (organic material that has fully broken down into a dark, crumbly, and nutrient-rich soil-like substance). Learn how to use finished compost in your garden here.
-

Community Garden Partner Sharing
Members also have the option to donate their compost to one of our Community Garden Partners, helping local nonprofits grow food and strengthen neighborhoods throughout Chicagoland.
