Wicker Park Bucktown Compost Pilot Program

The Wicker Park-Bucktown Chamber of Commerce and SSA #33 are excited to announce a composting pilot program in partnership with WasteNot Compost, Chicagoland’s largest compost collector and only zero-emissions service provider.
This pilot program empowers businesses to divert food and other organic waste from landfills in an effort to foster a thriving, sustainable community. WasteNot is proud to offer SSA #33 exclusive rates, engaged support, and special services to SSA #33. This includes education materials that make composting easy for you to adopt and marketing tools that promote the initiative to your customers and our community. WasteNot has been serving Wicker Park residents and businesses for the past several years, offering a proven approach to composting that is centered on engagement, convenience, and customer satisfaction.
The SSA is proud to provide a full subsidy for participating businesses, making this program completely free to join. The program will be subsidized by the SSA until the end of March 2024. New participants are encouraged to and are able to enroll at any point during the pilot, and will receive a pro-rated subsidy based on the remaining duration of the program.
